A Lesser Conspiracy

Image result for atheist
A day off from work (one day off after working six straight days, then back to work tomorrow), and, once again, there are all these options and choices to make.  There are two books I could work on.  I could try to promote Veganman (Which has, as they say, a niche: in this case, people who are angry about animal cruelty.), which is here: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00ZSHNT5I
But it's Sunday, which means that two of the radio stations I listen to regularly, because they play no commercials, will play gospel music, which I hate.  I'm sure I don't hate all gospel music, just the sort they play, because it's overtly religious.  In fact, in my massive music collection, I have both satanic and Christian metal.  I just care about how it sounds; I don't care about the lyrical content; as long as it isn't anti-animal.  And of course I wouldn't support a satanic band that had been cruel to animals (beyond the usual meat eating and leather wearing).  In fact, years ago, when I was reading reviews to decide which metal CD I was going to buy next, I came across a band called Pig Destroyer.  Based on what I had read, I was very interested in their album, Terrifyer.  The name of the band bothered me, though.  If it was about the pigs (the animals) then I wouldn't buy any of their stuff.  I tried to find out why they named their band that.  I finally found it in an interview.  One of the band members said they wanted to call it Cop Destroyer, but decided against it, because it was a little too extreme (Their music is quite extreme.).  Once I read that, I was all clear to buy the album, which is great.  I don't advocate destroying cops, but at least they know what they're getting into with that job, and they are given training, support, and weapons with which to defend themselves, whereas pigs have virtually no protection from bloodthirsty, meat-eating humans.
But I digressed.  The lesser, compared to animal cruelty and procreation, conspiracy is religion.  I call it a lesser conspiracy, because I'm much less passionate about this issue than I am about the other two, though religion is certainly responsible for its share of death and destruction.  God was created out of fear and ignorance.  The more time passes, the less need we have for god, because it should be obvious that there's no big guy in the sky who has our backs, and science gradually reduces our ignorance about worldly matters.
Belief in god is one of the three obvious (to me) things that society is backwardly wrong about.  Socially acceptable animal cruelty and procreation are the others.  The only good excuses for believing in god are being a child, being stupid, or having a mental illness.  Religion is ridiculous.  In thousands of years of human existence, there is no proof that god exists: not a shred.  People, perhaps, have been dead for a few minutes and come back to life.  But has anybody been dead OVERNIGHT (like Jesus) and come back to life?  In addition to the reasons just mentioned, I think believing in this shit means one is either chickenshit or a follower.  Some believe because they are following others.  Some believe because they can't handle life without the big guy in the sky "protecting" them.
Some lie about believing.  In America, you need to say you believe in god in order to be elected president of the country, which I think is obviously backward.  If you believe in imaginary friends, then that's a very good reason why you SHOUDLN'T be president of a country.  I resent my mother forcing me to go to church every week when I was a kid.  I consider it to be brainwashing.  "Try to put belief in god into them when they're young:" an insidious plan.  The way I see it, in church, I was surrounded by adults who were, in addition to the backwards believers, liars.  Of course, it is widely acceptable for parents to lie to their children.  It is customary for them to lie about (spoiler alert!) Santa Claus, the tooth fairy, and the Easter bunny.  In fact, many parents would be very angry if I told the TRUTH to their young children about Santa Claus.  How dare you tell the truth to my child!  How dare you expose my lie!  It's just another example of how backwards this society is.
Belief in god is a sort of drug.  It's a break from reality, which is what drugs offer (but don't really deliver).  It is insulting to me that, because I have depression, I'm considered to be mentally ill, but someone who believes that there is an all-powerful guy with a beard hanging out in the clouds isn't.  It makes sense to be depressed.  Watch the news.  Go to your shitty job.  It doesn't make sense to believe in nonsense.  Once again, backward.
God, if you really exist, then prove it to me.  I work with a beautiful young woman that I would love to fuck (If you exist, then you know who I mean.).  If she asks me out and tells me that she loves me, and, if I come home from work to find $100 billion dollars in my apartment, then I will believe in you.  Deal?

Praying Is Lazy

Image result for praying is lazy
I touched on this the last time.  First of all, as usual, leaving children and the mentally disabled out of the equation, belief in god works as a basic intelligence test.  If you believe in god, you are not intelligent.  If you don't believe in god, then you might be intelligent.
Praying is lazy.  Instead of getting off your ass and really doing something for someone, you can just think, "God, please help Gladys."  That's it.  You're done.  Mission accomplished.  You didn't have to get off the couch.  You didn't even have stop stuffing your face with bonbons as though they were going to be discontinued tomorrow.
This douchebag customer came into my workplace recently.  He's a very talkative piece of shit that has nothing interesting to say.  One day, he came in and told a shitty story.  He had been waiting in line.  An old woman said something about Jesus.  The douchebag said something like, "Well, I'll pray for you right now."  And, according to him, the woman was so fucking surprised and happy.  He finished with this stupid look on his face, that was probably supposed to convey, "Isn't that an incredibly great story?"  Fuck, no.  It's one of the shittiest stories I ever heard.  Perhaps the woman was lonely.  Maybe she needed someone to do things for her that she can't do anymore.  Maybe she needed someone to just spend some time with her.  But, no, that would require time and effort!  Just think, or say, a quick prayer, and you're done!
My mother told me, at least once I can recall, that she was praying for me.  Thanks for nothing.  I could pray that I have intelligent, successful, competent, and caring parents, but that ain't gonna happen.
Jim Kelly, who is a former pro (American) football player, has had bouts with cancer.  I remember him, on TV, thanking people for their support.  Not sure if I remember exactly what he said, but the important parts, for this subject, are intact.  He thanked them for their cards, messages, and prayers, and, he added, "especially the prayers."  That annoyed me.  If someone is sending a card, or even just posting something on social media, then they're putting in more effort than someone who is just praying.  If you want to do something without doing anything, then pray.

Fuck the Norm!

Image result for fuck the norm
You buy and eat meat.  Do you ever think that it's wrong to support animal cruelty?  I don't know.  You eat, and talk about, your favorite meat dishes with a smile on your face.  It seems like you don't care about the animals you're eating.  But most people are doing it.  It's the norm.  Fuck the norm!  It's cruel!
You have brought 4 kids into this world.  Look around.  Watch the news.  Study the history of the world.  This is an extremely violent planet!  It is full of pain, despair, misery, loneliness, disease, depression, suicide, war, terrorism, harassment, bullying, molestation, rape, murder, and death.  But most people have kids.  It's the norm.  Fuck the norm!  It's cruel to bring someone into this world to suffer!
You litter.  You don't recycle.  You don't give a fuck about the environment.  You think it's funny to say things like, "Hey, when it (the Earth) all goes to shit, I'll be dead by then."  You're worthless trash!  Hey, rich fucks, if us poor fucks round these assholes up, will you launch their worthless asses into space?  And, once there, we can just let them float away, to their deaths, with no space suits.  Fuck the norm!
You believe in god.  You even believe every word of the bible, which is stupid, because it's a ridiculous story: full of crap that doesn't happen in the real world.  You pray for someone, and you're proud of yourself: absurd!  Pray for someone, and you've done NOTHING!  It's so lazy!  It's just a thought.  You're proud of yourself for thinking a nice thought about somebody?  How about getting off your fat ass and DOING something, you lazy, stupid fuck!  But most people (supposedly) believe in god.  It's the norm.  Fuck the norm!  It's fucking stupid!  In thousands of years of human existence, there has been zero proof that god exists!
To be sung to the tune of "Everybody Have Fun Tonight" (Wang Chung song)-
"Everybody look at your phone, everybody be a mindless drone
Everybody look at your phone, and be a mindless fucking drone
You're a mindless fucking drone, because you're ruled by your phone"
You have a smartphone, and you love it.  Every chance you get, your face is in that phone.  I've seen parents paying more attention to their phones than their young children: plenty of times!  The phones are taking over!  They are ruling their masters, because they are smarter, and superior, to them.  Don't allow a device to hypnotize you!  Get off of Facebook for a bit!  It's mostly garbage!  I reconnected with my aforementioned "frenemy" because of Facebook, and he's a bad influence.  He got me back into drinking and smoking weed.  I was better off without him, and now he's back where he belongs: out of my life!  Here's an idea.  Keep your face in your phone for too long, and people have the right to punch your typical face!  Fuck you!  This culture has turned to shit, because legions of you have your faces in your phones 24/fucking/7!  But most people have their stupid, typical faces in their phones all the fucking time.  It's the norm.  Fuck the norm!!!!!!

Hypocrisy

Image result for hypocrisy
Everyday brings so much hypocrisy.  I was watching a TV show on DVD: The Jim Gaffigan Show.  Much was made about how Gaffigan, a comedian, works "clean," which, of course, means that he doesn't curse, and his act doesn't contain explicit sexual content.  However, like so many other people, he makes unfunny jokes about how much he loves bacon.  It's a big part of his act that he's fat, and he likes to eat.  When people talk about how much they love to eat meat or joke about how much they like bacon, I'm offended.  So, even though he doesn't curse, I was offended several times while watching his show.  Not only is he, and people like him, supporting cruelty to animals by buying meat, but they make jokes about it too.  Animals matter so little to them that they laugh about the suffering they're inflicting upon them: truly offensive to me.
My aforementioned frenemy is like that.  He has judged and criticized me repeatedly about things I have said.  He loves to do it.  He is a politically correct pussy.  It got to the point where I'd respond to his petty criticisms by pointing out that words fly harmlessly through the air: especially when compared to paying people to be cruel to animals by buying meat, which he does regularly.  As someone who hasn't eaten meat since 2002, I can't compete with his level of cruelty.
My mother is like this too.  She hates hearing the word "fuck."  However, she is a meat eater.  So, according to her, it's worse to say fuck than it is to contribute to the torture and murder of animals.  The hypocrisy is off the charts.
Then there's religion.  How many religious meat eaters would look down upon me because I'm an atheist?  Fuck their religion and fuck them.  I believe in what I know to be real.  Paying people to treat animals horribly is wrong.  I had an encounter with a religious customer at work recently.  He told me a shitty story about how he mentioned Jesus while he was waiting on a line somewhere.  And the woman behind him asked him if he mentioned Jesus, and if he would pray for her later.  He said, "I'll pray for you right now."  And, according to him, she was so grateful.  He seemed to think this was a great story: not me.  I wasn't impressed at all.  Praying is so easy.  I just did it.  I thought, "Dear god, please save all the animals of the world from hell on earth."  Think it will happen?

No Bullshit

Image result for no bullshit
I've been pretty opinioned: especially about 3 subjects: meat eating, procreation, and, to a lesser extent, religion.  Now I feel like getting more opinionated: with no bullshit.  There are exceptions to my comments.  I don't direct any of them at children, the mentally disabled, people who literally depend on others for survival (quadriplegics, etc.), and the helplessly elderly.

If you eat meat, you are not an animal lover; you are a violent killer of innocent animals.  You are supporting the horrific treatment, and murder, of animals.  You don't need meat to survive.  Violence is wrong: whether it's against a person or animal.  Paying for meat is the same as paying a hitman to kill your wife or husband.  The good news is you can change.  You can become a vegetarian and be a good person.  Then perhaps you can become a vegan and be a better person.  Care about the environment?  Then become a vegan.  Veganism is very good for the environment.

Bringing a person or animal into this world is an act of extreme cruelty.  As I've written here before, this is a violent world that is full of pain, misery, depression, suicide, shit, rape, molestation, suffering, and death.  People bring people and animals into this world for their own sake.  People procreate so they can have a cute baby to cheer them up and give them a reason to live.  They also do it so their sons and daughters can take care of them when they're too old to take care of themselves.  They bring animals into this world for profit or out of ignorance (People shouldn't be letting dogs and cats procreate, because there are always tons of unwanted dogs and cats languishing in shelters.).

The only legitimate excuses for believing in god (Note the lowercase spelling.  It was intentional.) are being a child, mentally ill, or hopelessly elderly.  Otherwise, you're just weak, a follower, or stupid.  In thousands of years of human society, there hasn't been a shred of proof that god, etc. ever existed.

Tattoos and piercings are stupid.  You want a tattoo?  I'll write "I'm stupid." on your face.  You want a piercing?  I'll pierce you with a knife.  I'd just be doing society a favor.  These people pay others to mutilate their bodies.  How fucking stupid is that?

Fuck The Walking Dead and Fear of the Walking Dead.  They're just following in the footsteps of Night of the Living Dead and Dawn of the Dead.  I gave The Walking Dead a try.  It's all the same.  Zombies attack, the non-zombies fight them off, and there's some fucking talking in between zombie attacks.  That's it.  That's all it is: over and over again.  It's so annoying to hear people extol the virtues of these shows.  This is a real quote from a coworker that he said in the break room (to the best of my memory); "Have you seen Fear of the Walking Dead?  What's good about it is it shows them going through water."  Holy fucking shit, have you had a lobotomy or are you just STUPID?

If you're always looking at your smartphone, you ARE a zombie.  I'm so sick and tired of seeing people staring at their phones.  As far as this issue goes, technology has gone too far.  It has created a REAL zombie apocalypse, where most people are captivated by their phones.  I'm not a part of it.  I don't have the Internet on my phone.  I read a book at lunch in the break room.  When I look up from it, I see people looking at their phones; it's scarier than any fictional zombie apocalypse.

Pain & Suffering

Image result for pain and suffering
I've accepted that life will bring pain & suffering every day.  Every day DOES bring pain and suffering.  The pain is physical, mental, and emotional.  The suffering is mental and emotional.
But it's nothing compared to what animals have to endure because of selfish people.  At work, I have to deal with so many people buying deadly mousetraps and other animal killers.  I want to say something to them, but I don't want to risk losing my job.  I'm trying to live.  Without a job, suicide is more of a possibility.  I want to suggest they use humane methods to trap and release them: unharmed.  If I ever stop giving a fuck altogether, which is a distinct possibility, I might say things like that.  They even buy gopher poison.  I don't know if there are gophers around here, or if they're just targeting my beloved groundhogs.  I'm not in favor of killing either, but it really saddens me to think that people want to kill groundhogs.  They are so cute.
I'm also forced to see a sea of leather.  Some sickos are turned on by leather.  It's dead cow skin.  Cows are peaceful vegetarians.  It's disgraceful, and caveman-like, to wear leather.
At a department store I worked at during the X-mas season, I heard and saw a real cretin in the break room.  She was hideously ugly: inside and out.  She was talking about some sort of family gathering.  "We had 2 things of meatballs, which I didn't need!  I also had sausage."  She told some story about kids who were allowed to shoot birds, which is disgusting and despicable.  She thought it was funny,  In fact, she said a pastor was fine with it: killing for fun.  There's religion for you; people matter (because they put money in the collection plate) and animals don't.  She said she sent a thank you card to the family that contained the bird killers that had a picture of birds on it, and she thought it was hilarious.  Apparently, the father of these kiddie killers got pissed off when squirrels stored nuts in his boat.  She mentioned that, in the card, she wrote that the kids should shoot squirrels instead, and she thought this was very funny.  Hey bitch, animals are cute, and you look and sound like a walking, talking pile of shit.  Fuck you.

Got to Give It Up

I haven't been posting much original stuff here lately.  It seems like my page views took a nose dive when I shared my thoughts about god and religion.  People will be offended by my thoughts on this subject, but I'm likewise offended when a Christian says that anyone who hasn't accepted Jesus as their lord and savior is going to burn in hell.
I had a very uncomfortable psychiatrist appointment this week.  As usual, I met with her and the director of the mental health place I've been going to for a while now.  The appointment was going the way it usually does, when the director asked if I'd gained weight.  I admitted I had.  They began to interrogate me about the weight gain.  I was asked if I still exercise.  The answer was yes.  Then I was asked if I drink.  The answer was yes.  How much?  About 5 times a week.  This is where the mood in the room changed.  How much do you drink?  I had to do a little math in my head, because I usually drink vodka, and I measure out 1 ounce of it into each drink, which is 2/3 of a shot.  I answered that I drink about 5 drinks a day (5 times a week) or more.  The mood really got dark from that point on.  After all, it was clear that I was a fat drunk: definitely not the best day of my life.  Both of them stopped smiling and looked very concerned.  Then it was established that I've been drinking like this the entire time I've been on Prozac.  I was told that the combination of Prozac and the alcohol I'd been drinking wasn't good for my health.  They are concerned about my liver.  I need to see a doctor and get my blood tested.  It was also established that my friend thinks I'm annoying when I drink too much, and I black out regularly.  I was told these are enough good reasons to quit.  I was asked about other drugs.  I admitted to smoking weed a few times a month.  They seemed to be much more concerned about the alcohol.  I asked if I could finish what I had left: 4 beers and less than 1 bottle of vodka.  I was told I should pour it out.  I probably won't do that.  I plan to give it to a friend.
I haven't drank any alcohol since that meeting, which was 2 days ago.  I want to quit.  I'm much more likely to feel better the day after not drinking than if I had drank.  I don't like going to the liquor store.  I think liquor stores are evil places.  When someone goes into business manufacturing alcohol, or they sell it in stores, they are, in my opinion, involved in evil activities.  People drink themselves to death.  People drink and drive and kill others as a result.  People get drunk and become violent.  I'm hoping I can quit.  Unfortunately, alcohol is everywhere.
These are lyrics to a song by the great Thin Lizzy that are applicable:

       "Got To Give It Up"

I've got to give it up I've got to give it up
That stuff
I've got to give it up I've got to give it up
That stuff

Tell my mama and tell my pa
That their fine young son didn't get far
He made it to the end of a bottle
Sitting in a sleazy bar

He tried hard but his spirit broke
He tried until he nearly choked
In the end he lost his
Bottle drinking alcohol

I've got to give it up I've got to give it up
That stuff
I've got to give it up I've got to give it up
That stuff

Tell my brother I tried to write and
Put pen to paper but I was frightened
I couldn't seem to get the words out right
Right quite right

Tell my sister I'm sinking slow
Now and again I powder my nose
In the end I lost my bottle
It smashed in a casbah

I've got to give it up I've got to give it up
That stuff
I've got to give it up I've got to give it up
That stuff

I've got to give it up I've got to give it up
That stuff
I've got to give it up I've got to give it up
That stuff

I've been messing with the heavy stuff
For a time I couldn't get enough
But I'm waking up and it's wearing off
Junk don't take you far

Tell my Mama I'm coming home
In my youth I'm getting older
And I think it's lost control
Mama I'm coming home

I've got to give it up I've got to give it up
That stuff
I've got to give it up I've got to give it up
That stuff

God Never Existed

What god would have allowed this to happen?
I've previously written about things I think are backwards.  Two of them bother me every day.  I believe most people should be vegetarians or vegans: not meat eaters.  And I think most people should not bring other kids into the world: not the other way around.
This, to me, is the third most obvious example of a way in which human society is backward: belief in god.  There are people out there who believe every word of the bible.  That is scary.  The bible is full of nonsense.  All sorts of things happened in the bible that cannot be proven in the real world.  So, yes, I think it makes more sense to not believe in god than to believe in him.
I believe that god was created out of fear and ignorance.  It makes sense for primitive people to believe in him, because they were afraid.  They wanted to think some big guy in the clouds had their backs.  It also helped explain things they didn't understand (It's god's will.).  But, in this day and age, I think it makes no sense for sensible people to believe in god.  We should know that horrible things happen to people, and animals, everyday, and that no god is watching anyone's back.  Also, we have science to explain things.
Belief in god is called "faith," because there is no evidence god ever existed.  There is no proof, so you must have faith.  These are the reasons I think people say they believe in god: they are afraid, they are mentally disabled, they are followers, they want to belong, they're afraid of being left out, and they're liars.  Yes, liars.  In America, you can't be the president if you don't believe in god.  We have had some very intelligent presidents: Nixon, Clinton, Obama.  Perhaps one, or all three, of them did not believe in god, but they wanted to be president, so they lied about it.
I think that truly believing in god is a form of mental illness, and this is coming from someone who has depression and OCD.
Religion seems to be responsible for so much misery.  Everyone knows about 9/11, Isis, and radical Islam, but, in the past, Christians certainly did their share of conquering.  I think we'd be better off ditching all religion and worshiping Mother Nature and all her animals instead.  Focus on the real and not the imaginary.
